GoldCal ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our gold jewelry calculation application.

Calculation Data: Gold rates, weight, making charges, tax information, and calculation results
Saved Calculations: Historical calculations you choose to save

App Preferences: Settings such as currency selection and jeweler information

iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud sync, your calculation data may be stored in your personal iCloud account. This data is:

Only accessible by you through your Apple ID

Not accessible by the app developers

Camera Access

GoldCal requests camera access to allow you to:

Take photos of jewelry items
Attach images to your calculations

Photos are stored locally on your device and in your iCloud (if enabled). We do not transmit, analyze, or share your photos with any third parties.

Data Usage

All data entered into GoldCal is used solely for:

Performing gold jewelry calculations
Displaying calculation results and history
Generating PDF reports for your personal use

We do not:

Collect analytics or usage data
Track your location
Share your data with third parties
Use your data for advertising
Access your data on our servers (we don't have servers)

Data Security

Your data security is important to us:

All data is stored locally on your device using iOS secure storage
iCloud data is encrypted in transit and at rest
No data is transmitted to external servers or third parties

Data Deletion

You have full control over your data:

Delete individual calculations from the History screen
Delete the app to remove all locally stored data
Disable iCloud sync to stop syncing (existing iCloud data can be deleted from your iCloud settings)

Third-Party Services

GoldCal does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only external service used is Apple's iCloud (optional), which is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Children's Privacy

GoldCal does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app is designed for general use and does not require personal information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
